On the Road

We are on the road! We have started our exciting, 11 day journey across the western U.S. for Ben's second interviews. We arrived at our second stop, Spokane, WA yesterday after a LONG, LONG day of traveling - every plane we went on was delayed, lengthening our 4 hour travel plans to 12 and then having to go back to the airport 3 hours later to get our luggage. Luckily we are safe and we didn't strangle anyone.
Despite the survey results, we chose to do a second interview in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. It is a wonderful, little city full of amazing, friendly people who absolutely love it there. (More details to come when we are home.) After Spokane, we are off to Boise. Where are our kiddoes you ask? Have you forgotten our amazing nanny, Aunt Val? Yes, she is back. The boys haven't skipped a beat, nor do they act like they miss us. Actually, she is working miracles there. For the first time ever, they slept in until 8:00 a.m. and Carter isn't have diarrhea anymore after 3 months either (It also may be the second round of medication to kill Giardia, but since it is such a pain to give it to him, I still think she deserves the credit)
We are treating this as our 5th, 10th and 20th anniversary trip, as we know we will never be able to leave kid-less for such a long stretch ever again. We think Val may be crazy for volunteering for the task and may cure her of wanting children herself, but we are so, so grateful.

Just be glad you didn't have kids with you on such an insane flight! It sounds like a fun time getting to know different parts of the country and deciding where to live!

It's been my pleasure, really. I don't know if I could do this for anyone else's kids, but Bridger and Carter, for the most part, are so well behaved, and on such an easy to manage schedule, it makes it easy to take good care of them! luv ya, sis!
