Carter's Sensitive Side

Carter has always had a sensitive side to him. Ever since birth, he has always been very cuddly and loves to be held. His latest "sensitive" phase includes jewelry. He loves wearing my earrings and feeling them on his face. He requests to wear my "neckness" every time I am wearing a necklace, and loves to feel the beads and chain and hear them rattle together. At the dentist last week, the prize he chose was a pink bracelet of his very own.

His fascination for ears and necks doesn't stop there. He also has started rubbing my earlobes when I hold him, or lay down by him at bedtime. And, when he hugs someone, he lately makes sure that his face touches their neck.

He still loves his mama and loves to sit with her but is very cautious to make sure he doesn't squish Little Sissy.

My Loves

Since I haven't blogged forever, I may as well post another one :)

Valentines day

We aren't very sentimental and I think Valentines day is a day for the florists and candy companies to make their money. I'm just glad that I don't need a holiday to know how much my hubby and boys love me. BUT-- we did have a fun day of favorites. Pancakes, lollipops, ring pops, Dora puzzles, cards and balloons. And, if you really want to know what my husband got me, it was exactly what I wanted: skittles and some chocolate covered dried cherries.
Who says women can't be easy to please?
What did I get him? We surprised him at his office and took him to lunch.
(Yes, this I will admit is totally lame on my part- not what we did- but that we have lived here for 7 months and this is the first time we have ever been to his office :0 )

Shower for Little Sissy!

My sweet friends Kasey and Holly threw me the cutest baby shower yesterday. Kasey is my neighbor who has 5 boys and the day I told her I was pregnant, she said she had dibs to throw me a shower if I was having a girl. She went all out and enjoyed every moment of buying PINK

The cutest display, Kasey said she wanted to have another baby just to wear those adorable onesies (well, almost)

Yes, I do feel ready to pop!

Fabulous frames made by Holly to match the nursery and
"Hooray It's a girl!" banner crafted by Kasey that we will have to
hang over our entry door when she comes

Check out that spread!!

Cheesecake pops! Homemade- amazing- made with real cheesecake inside

Diaper cake- could it be any more stylin'?!

Fun begins of opening presents

Boy stuff is cute... but definitely doesn't bring the
cheers and squeals of adorable girlie accessories and clothes!

Sissy got lots of fantastic gifts. Thank you, my wonderful friends!
I had so much fun opening them all again to show Ben
and all he said was "Wow- it looks like you are excited to have a girl!"
Yes, we are welcoming the pink and awaiting her arrival in a hopefully short 10 weeks.

Here are some other pictures... for all those who have been anxious to see preggo pictures, the one in the red shirt is me at 24 weeks and the one in the tan is at 30 weeks. (yes, I swear since 20 weeks I have looked 40 weeks pregnant!) The other ones is a game at the shower- a milk chug contest that was hilarious and an adorable pillow pal and cuddly blankie.
