Little Sissy's First

Sissy turned one last month and the boys wanted to do her whole party- so here are the extensive decorations:

Carter helped me make the cake and chose the colors for the frosting.

Birthday girl ready to partay!

She's not quite sure about the candle.. or the singing

She jumped right in. Let's be honest, she is no stranger to sugary treats.

She didn't eat much- but had so much fun playing.

Lots of helpers with the presents.

Lucky girl with two new pairs of sunglasses, lots of toys, dress up butterfly costume, books, clothes and shoes... everything a little girl could want.

Sticky girl with her new shades

Afton and Ashlynn- she just won't sit still for a picture with her best friend.

Sissy showing her teeth in her new swim shirt and board shorts.

Lately Sis loves to go into Brothers room and sit in the sock and underwear basket. I don't know why,  but she loves it here and when I can't find her this is the first place to look. And, yes, she wears her brothers old PJ's.

Fun things about Sissy at ONE year:
We call her Sissy most of the time- could you guess? And lots of people now call her Sissy too. Which is fine since her two future best friends are named Ashlynn and Aspen.
She is 20 pounds and 5 ounces at her check up. And 29 inches tall... the smallest of my babies.
She loves her brothers and follows them around constantly. She does not want to be left out of the action. She loves being outside in the sand and the garden. She loves her mama and she gets so excited when Daddy comes home and RUNS to greet him. Yes, she will throw a fit if she is not the first one he kisses and holds  (there is a Daddy Greeting Line at our house-- it's one thing in the day we ALL look forward to.) She has been such a delightful little lady. Great sleeper, good eater, happy as long as she is held, cuddly and sweet. We love you, Sissy, and so glad you are in our family.

Here are my favorite pictures of her in her Easter dress at almost 1 year old

And more for me than any of you, some of my favorites from her first year of life:
What a perfect, healthy little girl.

Hooray, Hooray, Hooray, Carter rides his bike!

I am pleased to report that Carter is the first one to accomplish his New Years Resolution in our family. Lat week he learned how to ride his bike without training wheels.
Two Sundays ago Ben and Bridger rode their bikes to church and Carter was left behind. He was not at all pleased with this and I told him that once he could ride with two wheels, he could ride to church with them. So, Monday came and he wanted his training wheels off. I held onto his seat and after about 10 seconds I let go and that was it...He rode on his own. We are so happy with his new accomplishment! And he has inspired some other kids to learn too.
Hooray, hooray, hooray for Carter!!

Our Performing Star

Bridger loves to sing and his primary teacher at church tells me often that he is the loudest singer in the room. So we joined a TaVaci group- a childrens' preforming arts singing group and brought a few friends along with us. Bridger had a great time learning lots of songs, especially tho ones from the cartoon Phineas and Ferb.  Last Saturday he had his concert and boy, was it entertaining! He did a great job and we are proud of his display of talent.

Bridger and Peyton- Peyton used to go to church with us but recently moved.
We are glad we could still see him at TaVaci.

Bridger loved the dance moves. In all the pictures he is the one with the buckle of the belt to the side. He is too skinny for the belt and it kept sliding- but makes it easy to spot him.
Left of Bridger is Landon and then Sawyer- our future neighbors.

This is one of his favorite songs "Squirrels in my Pants"

  Sing it, Bridger!

These pictures aren't very good because the lights were out during the song.
It is from Monster Inc.
