Pink Bir-tee-day

Pink, Pink, pink. That is all this girl likes. PINK. She wants a pink plate, pink spoon, pink cup, pink sheets, pink shirt, pink anything and everything. 

Afton has been looking forward to her third birthday for months. Anytime anyone would ask about her birthday or when it was, she would say "PINK! My pink birteeday!" She was so excited for it to come, and she wanted everything PINK. 

Finally the pink birteeday had finally arrived.

This cake--uggg... My mom made me a clown cake when I was four or so and I loved it. This is a poor replication of that one. Luckily this three year old was easy to please.

I called two friends to come over and celebrate with us the night of. I gave last minute because I didn't want them to bring a present. That was not okay with Holly and she chastised me for not giving her more noticed. She walked in with this box and instantly increased the excitement by at least 10 times, and believe me, there was already excitement! Everyone needs a friend like Holly, she is the life of the party and loves to celebrate everyone and everything.

umm.. sidewalk chalk...maybe? That's the problem with journaling months later. 

finally the big present-- balloons! and lots of them! It really was the hit of the party and all the kids played with them the rest of the night. 

We corralled them into our half bathroom where Afton would go in and throw them and jump around forever and then come out. It was a perfect little place for a personal balloon party.

We love our little Sissy and so happy that she is in our family. At three years old, she really likes pink (obviously:) she loves her pink cowgirl boots, she loves to do whatever her brothers are doing, lately she has started to play dress-up with the neighbor, Hannah, she loves purses and is starting to like jewelry too. 

We love you, Afton and hope that you have a great third year of life. Please keep on being you and bringing lots of smiles and big hugs to everyone.
